Scion FR-S Shift Knob

To improve the driving experience of my 2013 Scion FR-S, I turned an aluminum shift knob on a Hardinge manual lathe. The shift knob is longer than the stock shift knob, making the throw longer. It also weighs more than the factory Scion shift knob making shifts easier and more satisfying. Threading the inside to M12x1.25, it threaded onto the stock shaft perfectly with no additional fabrication was necessary.

Before I turned the piece on the lathe, I made a 3d model in Solidworks 19 to make a plan and engineering drawing to help with the fabrication process
